Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp admits that their matchwinner Sebastian Kehl surprised him with the quality of his winning strike.
The Dortmund midfielder scored a sublime dipping volley from outside the box to win their German Cup quarter-final match against Hoffenheim last night at the Westfalenstadion.
Neven Subotic gave the lead to the home side in the 19th minute, but Kevin Volland's volley from a corner in the 21st and Roberto Firmino's chip in the 29th minutes swung the game towards Hoffenheim’s favour.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the equaliser for BVB, but Kehl’s sublime strike in extra time sent the Dortmund faithful into delirium and gave them hope of some silverware at the end of what has been a difficult season for the club.
Klopp feels his side played better than the eventual scoreline suggested and believes that they displayed some superb football in the second half to get the deserved equaliser.

"We were a tad better than the result suggests”, Klopp told the club’s official website.
“It was an extremely intense match. We played well without having clear chances in the final third. In the second half we produced a superb reaction. We put an almost unbearable level of pressure on them and deservedly got the equaliser.”
However, he admits that the quality of Kehl’s matchwinner took him by surprise and he is happy that the midfielder got the opportunity to be their hero on the night.
“And then Sebastian did that. Pulling something like that off today was quite something. I didn't know he was capable of that. It's brilliant that he gets to be the hero of the day.”
