Juan Mata has saluted a crazy atmosphere at Old Trafford today after Manchester United ran out 4-2 winners over Manchester City.
Manchester City started the brighter at Old Trafford and carved open Manchester United in the eighth minute when James Milner and David Silva combined to lay the ball on for Sergio Aguero to fire home.
But the lead did not last long and Manchester United were level when Ashley Young got on the end of a cross, being fortunate to get the ball back after an initial miscontrol, and made it 1-1 in the 14th minute.
Manchester United then took the lead in the 27th minute when Marouane Fellaini found space at the back post to head the ball past Joe Hart.
The third for the hosts came in the 67th minute when Wayne Rooney played in Mata, who nutmegged Hart to make it 3-1.

And Manchester United were rampant, scoring a fourth when Chris Smalling was left unmarked in the 74th minute to head in a Rooney free-kick.
The Citizens made it 4-2 though when Aguero found space to turn the ball past David de Gea in the 88th minute.
Mata was delighted with the win and claimed post-match he will never forget the atmosphere.
"I felt that's what we had to do [to win]. The first ten to fifteen minutes they were brilliant, but after that the team showed character so we could come back. It's a massive win for us", Mata told Sky Sports.
"The atmosphere was crazy, something we will never forget. You can feel how important it was for the fans today.
"It's a big win, a boost of confidence, but we still have games to go."
