Liverpool linked Javier Pastore has stressed that his contract situation at Paris Saint-Germain is not a big concern for him and insisted that he is happy in the French capital.

The Argentine midfielder revealed last week that talks over a new contract with the club have hit a brick wall and he is unsure whether they are going to sit at the negotiating table again in the future.

Pastore earlier said that he is more than happy with his career at PSG and is keen to extend his stay at the club beyond the summer of 2016, when his current deal runs out.

The recent revelations have raised fresh doubts about his future at the Parc des Princes but the Argentine insisted that he is not overly concerned about his contract situation with the club.

He revealed that he and his family feel settled in the French capital and stressed that he is not paying much heed to the speculation surrounding his future at PSG.

“I have always said that I am in France, in the house where my daughter was born and I feel happy here”, Pastore told Mundo Deportivo.

“I am not willing to lose focus over the issue [contract renewal with PSG].

“My dream is to win everything with PSG and I am only thinking about that.”

Liverpool, who have been tracking the Argentine since last summer, are keeping a close watch on developments in Paris and Brendan Rodgers may be keen to take him to England at the end of the season.
