Manchester United legend Denis Law feels the Red Devils are still not out of the Premier League title race.
A six-game winning run has catapulted Manchester United to third in the league table, four points off fourth placed Manchester City but they are still trailing Chelsea by eight points and have played a game more.
Wins over the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and more recently, Manchester City, have lifted the moral around Old Trafford and Louis van Gaal’s men are approaching their last six games of the season with a spring in their step.
While finishing second in the league table is still a realistic possibility, Law wants his former side to aim higher, even this late into the season.
Though Chelsea are well ahead of the chasing pack, the Scot believes football has a habit of throwing out surprises and the chance of winning the league title should not be discounted by Manchester United.

However, he stressed Van Gaal’s men need to battle hard until the end of the season to give themselves an opportunity.
“I know we are few points off the top but you never know”, Law told MUTV.
“Whilst there is an opportunity there, you never know with results
“And I always say about football, I don’t care who you are playing; it could be the top team or the bottom team but if you don’t battle against whoever, you will get turned over.”
A Manchester United win over Chelsea this Saturday at Stamford Bridge could make Jose Mourinho’s men nervous in the final stretch of the season.
