Celtic star Kris Commons has urged his team-mates to forget the pain of being knocked out of the Scottish Cup on Sunday by winning the Premiership title in style.

Going for a historic treble after already having won the League Cup, Ronny Deila's men suffered a 3-2 defeat after extra time in their semi-final tie at Hampden against Inverness.

Celtic played the majority of the game with ten men after goalkeeper Craig Gordon was sent off in the second half, handing Inverness a decisive advantage.

Commons admits Celtic are disappointed, but feels the best way to get over the pain is now to win the Premiership title in style.

"It was a real disappointment not to win the game", he told Celtic TV.

"I thought we did enough – a few things didn’t go our way on the park. But credit to Inverness. They worked hard, put us under pressure and to score three goals against us means they always had a chance."

Now pushing for the title is the priority for Celtic, starting against Dundee on Wednesday evening.

"We fell that little bit short on Sunday, but we’ll be looking to bounce back against Dundee on Wednesday night", Commons explained.

"We’ll be looking to bounce back, put in a good performance and win the match because we’ve still got a league title to win and that’s our main aim now, to win our remaining fixtures and win in style."

Following Celtic's clash against Dundee, their remaining games this season are Dundee United (away), Dundee (home), Aberdeen (away), St Johnstone (away) and Inverness (home).
