Adam Lallana has handed Liverpool a boost by declaring himself ready to return to action this weekend against West Brom.

The England midfielder has been out of action since Liverpool's defeat against Manchester United at Anfield on 22nd March.

Lallana picked up a groin injury, which even kept him out of last weekend's FA Cup semi-final against Aston Villa, a game Brendan Rodgers' men lost.

But the midfielder has now shaken off his injury and is eyeing a return against the Baggies as Liverpool look to push to finish in the Premier League's top four.

Lallana, who is now available for Rodgers to select for the trip to the Hawthornes, told his club's site: "I had a groin issue. I've had a couple of them this season, but I'm back on top of it now, which is good.

"I'm back fit now, 100 per cent and have trained the last two days.

"It was frustrating as I had a bit of a recurrence of it before the Arsenal game, maybe due to being a little bit too eager to get back.

"But I've trained well, I feel good and I'm ready for the run-in. I'm looking forward to pushing on now, pushing on [next season] and improving on this season."

Liverpool travel to West Brom this Saturday, sitting fifth in the Premier League table with 57 points from 32 games. The Reds are currently seven points off a top four spot and have just six games left to attempt to close the gap.
