Tottenham Hotspur manager Maurcio Pochettino has refuted claims that Hugo Lloris is seeking a move away from White Hart Lane this summer in search of Champions League football.
Lloris joined the north London outfit in the summer of 2012 and he has gone on to become a regular in goal for Spurs.
His heroics for Pochettino’s side have played a big part in helping them reach sixth spot in the table as they remain in the hunt for a spot in Europe, however, with five matches to go before the season comes to a close and seven points separating them from fourth placed Manchester City it appears increasingly unlikely that the Londoners will finish in the top four.
There have been reports of the French national team captain seeking a move away from White Hart Lane in search of Champions League football, but Pochettino has denied such reports, adding that Lloris intends to play in Europe’s elite competition with Tottenham.
“Hugo wants to play the Champions League here for Tottenham and I think this is a rumour and nothing true”, the Argentine was quoted as saying by the BBC.
