Barcelona have confirmed that Rafinha has agreed to sign a new contract, which will keep him at the club until 2020.

The buyout clause in the new deal will be set at €75m.

The midfielder, who is currently out injured with a knee injury, is a product of Barcelona’s youth set-up.

Rafinha represented Spain at various youth levels before switching his allegiance to Brazil, for whom he made his senior international debut in a friendly against Costa Rica on 5th September.

The 22-year-old then managed to find the back of the net in his second game against the United States four days later.
