Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that he could have Laurent Koscielny back for Sunday's north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Koscielny missed Arsenal's 5-1 drubbing by Bayern Munich in midweek due to a slight hip problem, however Wenger thinks the Frenchman might be ready to face Spurs.

But while Koscielny could be back to bolster the centre of defence, right-back Hector Bellerin will not have recovered from his injury in time for the game.

Wenger told a press conference this morning: "Laurent Koscielny might be back, but Hector Bellerin won't be available."

The Arsenal manager also admitted he has taken note of Tottenham's unbeaten run, which has pushed Mauricio Pochettino's men up the Premier League standings.

"They have done well", the Frenchman admitted. "They lost only one game. They have a few draws.

"They have always in my memory had strong teams. It will be a tough opponent just like every year", Wenger added.

The Arsenal boss will be hoping that his side's midweek capitulation at Bayern Munich has no effect on his team's mental state in the north London derby.

While Arsenal are struggling in Europe though, they are sitting pretty in second in the Premier League.
