Juventus are keeping a close eye on Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia, according to Italian daily Tuttosport.
The Moroccan international, who joined the Bavarians from Roma in 2014, has been sparingly used by Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola this term.
Benatia has made just four appearances in all competitions in the present campaign, scoring once.
Juventus’ chances of landing Benatia, who cost the German champions €26m, has been boosted by the fact that the 28-year-old in a recent interview said that he wants to play in Italy once again.
"A career in football is short, I've always said that, and my goal is to win titles, and that’s why I came to Bayern”, he was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.

“But my heart always beats for Italy. For now I just have to think about giving my best. "
Benatia, who counts Marseille and Udinese amongst others as his former employers, is contracted with Bayern Munich until 2019.
However, Juventus enjoy a cordial relationship with the Allianz Arena outfit, following the transfers of Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman in the summer.
The centre-back, who has 38 caps for Morocco to his name, has thus far amassed 28 appearances for Bayern Munich.
