Celtic manager Ronny Deila says he is not the first Hoops boss to struggle in Europe and believes the Scottish giants will stand by him until he can get it right.
Deila's tenure as manager has seen the Bhoys regularly lose in Europe to clubs with much smaller budgets. Last term Slovenian minnows Maribor stopped Celtic reaching the Champions League group stage, while they also lost to Poles Legia Warsaw, but earned a reprieve.
This season Swedish outfit Malmo knocked Celtic out of the Champions League, while Norwegian side Molde have just done a Europa League double over Deila's men in the group stage.
The Celtic manager accepts that the picture is not perfect in Europe for his side, but says other Hoops bosses have struggled to master continental competition at first.
"When you see the history of this club they have had managers before that have struggled in Europe in the beginning", he said at a press conference.

Celtic lost 2-1 at home to Molde last night and now need to win group games against Ajax and Fenerbahce to qualify for the Europa League knockout stage – and Deila admits the result against the Norwegians did not sit well with him.
"If there’s somebody sorry then I can assure you I didn’t sleep much last night, but I see talent and progress.
"We are not out of the group. People can say it’s going to be hard, but it’s still possible.
"There’s still a lot to fight for. I’ll be judged on if I can bring the club forward in terms of progression, style of play and results."
