West Ham United co-chairman David Gold admits the club will need to scan an injury picked up by Dimitri Payet on Saturday against Everton.
Payet, who has been a revelation for the Hammers since joining the club from Marseille in the summer, limped off just after half time, having felt the effects of a challenge by Everton midfielder James McCarthy.
West Ham recorded a 1-1 draw in the game, but worries were instantly expressed for Payet, who is a key man for the Hammers.
Gold says that the Frenchman will have to undergo scans, but the co-chairman is hoping that Payet will be back in time for West Ham's match against Tottenham Hotspur following the international break.
Asked about Payet's injury on Twitter, Gold replied: "It's hard to say how long Dimitri will be out until after the scans on Monday but let's hope he's back for Spurs."
