Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard revealed that he is just trying to enjoy his game, after scoring his first goal for the club in their 2-0 win over West Brom at Old Trafford earlier today.
Manchester United were under pressure to score goals today, but again struggled to create clear cut opportunities in the first half. Juan Mata shot wide after a wonderful move and Anthony Martial did well to create space to pull off a shot from just outside the box at goal, but Boaz Myhill made a regulation save.
The Red Devils started the second half well and Lingard curled a shot inside Myhill’s left post to score his first Manchester United senior goal. Louis van Gaal’s men continued to press for the second goal, but failed to find an opening.
Tony Pulis’ men created some pressure towards the last quarter of the game and Saido Berahino missed a clear header in the 76th minute to miss a golden opportunity to equalise for the Baggies.
West Brom conceded a penalty in the 90th minute when Gareth McAuley brought down Martial and was promptly sent off for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. Juan Mata converted the spot kick to give a more comfortable look to the scoreline.

Lingard is happy to score his first senior goal for the club, but is more pleased because Manchester United managed to pick up all three points against a defensively organised West Brom team, who have kept four clean sheets on the road before today.
Lingard told the BBC: “I'm very happy, but obviously the most important thing is we got the three points.
“I thought we dominated the game throughout. West Brom sat back and we had to break them down. But once the goals came we finished them off.
“We created a few chances in the first half and put two away in the second.”
The 22-year-old said that he is just trying to enjoy games and pull off things on the pitch to wow the Old Trafford faithful.
“I didn't feel pressure. When I play I try to enjoy it as much as I can. I try and get the fans on their feet and make things happen.”
18-year-old defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson made his first appearance for Manchester United, when he replaced Marcos Rojo in the 78th minute.
It was Manchester United’s fifth clean sheet in a row in all competitions.
