Juan Mata believes Manchester United's 2-0 win over West Brom this afternoon is the perfect way for the Red Devils to head into the international break, with three points in their pocket.
The Baggies were stubborn defensively in the first half and kept the Red Devils at bay, holding the scoreline at 0-0 heading into the break and frustrating the hosts.
But Manchester United made the breakthrough in the second half when Jesse Lingard scored his first goal for the Red Devils in the 52nd minute.
West Brom conceded a penalty at the death, seeing Gareth McAuley sent off for a foul on Anthony Martial, and Mata converted for a comfortable 2-0 win.
For Mata, the win is just the right way to go into the international break for the Red Devils, although he does feel his side played better in the first period, despite not scoring.
