Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson is looking forward to what he believes will be an "interesting" winter transfer window for the Reds.

The Merseyside giants suffered their first defeat of the Jurgen Klopp era yesterday when they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at home to to Crystal Palace.




Familiar defensive frailties surfaced against the Eagles, which ensured Liverpool would lose despite dominating the match.

At present Klopp is working with players selected by former manager Brendan Rodgers and Lawrenson is anticipating the German starting to put his own stamp on Liverpool in the winter transfer window.
 


"That's what he's got to work with until January", Lawrenson noted of the current crop on LFC TV.

"I think January will be interesting", the former defender added.

Klopp has already been linked with swoops for a number of players, notably from his native Germany where he is an expert in the market.

However, he has vowed not to raid former club Borussia Dortmund, amid links with Marco Reus, Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan.
