Leeds United goalkeeper Charlie Horton is delighted to be soaking up the sun on international duty with the United States.

Horton has been called up by the United States Under-23 side for two friendlies in Brazil as they continue their preparations to try to qualify for next year's Olympic Games.

The USA have a playoff double-header against Colombia to come in March as they seek to book their spot in Rio.

Horton, who is battling against MK Dons' Cody Cropper and Sporting Kansas City's Jon Kempin for a spot in the side, is pleased with the weather which has greeted him in Brazil.

He took to Twitter to post the evidence of a beautiful beach scene, but joked that it still cannot beat West Yorkshire.

"There aren't many better places to be called away on int'l duty", he wrote.

"Still doesn't beat West Yorkshire tho."

Horton joined Leeds in the summer, switching to the club from Cardiff City.

The young shot-stopper is behind Marco Silvestri and Ross Turnbull in the pecking order at Elland Road, though the latter is currently sidelined through injury, something which has allowed the American to deputise for Silvestri of late.
