Martin Skrtel has backed his Liverpool defensive partner Mamadou Sakho to come back stronger from his injury troubles.
Jurgen Klopp lost his first match as Liverpool manager on Sunday, when Crystal Palace inflicted a 2-1 defeat on the home side at Anfield, but the Reds’ problems were compounded as Sakho picked up a knee injury during the encounter.
The defender was hauled off before half time because of his injury and the Frenchman left the stadium on Sunday evening on crutches. While there is no clarity about the extent of the injury, the Liverpool man could be facing an extended period on the sidelines.
Sakho’s time at Liverpool has been riddled with injury problems and just as he was looking like forming a steady partnership with Skrtel, bad luck has struck again.
Skrtel has wished his defensive partner a speedy recovery and backed him to return to action as soon as possible.

“Keep your head up, you will come back even stronger!!!”
The Reds are already facing a number of injury troubles and Sakho’s injury has further exacerbated the situation for Klopp, who will be hoping that none of his players suffer more knocks during the international break.
Liverpool are currently tenth in the league table and will travel to Manchester City on 21st November.
