Manchester United are highly interested in signing Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda, who is also being eyed by Arsenal, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.

The Belgian forward is keen to leave the Blues, following his lack of first team opportunities at Stamford Bridge.

French duo Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are also interested in roping in Musonda, who is yet to feature in a senior game for Chelsea.

However, it appears Manchester United have marched ahead in the race to sign the starlet, and it is believed that the Red Devils are willing to shell out £10.6m to acquire his services during the January transfer window.

And a source close to the player revealed that Musonda is seriously considering quitting Chelsea if he is not offered playing time with the senior squad.

"Charly appreciates Chelsea. But he is feeling that he is wasting time there. What he wants is to play and express his talent at the highest level”, Foot Mercato quoted the source as saying.

“And if Chelsea cannot offer him the playing time, the time has perhaps come for him to try his luck elsewhere, especially as many big clubs have been interested in him since last summer.”

The 19-year-old, who has managed to score 12 goals for Chelsea’s Under-21s this season, helped his side to win the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League last term.

Musonda, whose contract with Chelsea runs until 2019, is yet to earn a senior cap for Belgium, but has represented the nation at every youth level.
