Paris Saint-Germain want to extend manager Laurent Blanc’s contract with the club, according to French daily Le Parisien.

Blanc, whose present contract with PSG is set to expire next summer, took charge of the club in 2013.

The 49-year-old has since guided PSG to two Ligue 1 titles, one Coupe de France, two League Cups and three French Super Cups.

However, the Parc des Princes outfit have not been successful on the European front under Blanc, having been eliminated from the quarter-final stage of the Champions League in their last two campaigns.

Contract negotiations between PSG and Blanc began in October, and it is believed that the ex-French international will put pen to paper on a fresh deal very soon.
