Italy full-back Matteo Darmian has revealed that joining Manchester United was a no brainer and he is aiming to win trophies at Old Trafford in the near future.

The Italian international joined Manchester United from Torino in the summer and impressed during his first few appearances in a Red Devils shirt this season.

While his form has petered off in the last few weeks, many still feel the 25-year-old has the ability to become Manchester United’s first choice right-back for years to come.

Darmian has revealed that he followed the Premier League during his time in Italy and admits that once Manchester United showed an interest in him, he was not going to let the opportunity to move to England slip away this summer.

And the stature of Manchester United in world football also made the decision to arrive at Old Trafford easier.
