England boss Roy Hodgson has called Manchester United starlet Jesse Lingard into his Three Lions squad.

Hodgson has suffered a number of squad injury issues over the international break, losing Liverpool midfielder James Milner before even taking on Spain on Friday night.

He is also without Manchester United's Michael Carrick and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy for Tuesday's game against France at Wembley.

And as a result Hodgson has turned to young winger Lingard, calling the 22-year-old into his squad.

Lingard has England experience, but only at Under-21 level, having clocked up eleven appearances for his country at that level.

But he has been in impressive form for Manchester United of late and has been praised by Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal.

Lingard's progress has not gone unnoticed by Hodgson and the Red Devil will now be hoping for the vote to make his senior international bow against the French.
