Barcelona are pushing ahead with plans to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi in January, according to Spanish daily Sport.
Robert Fernandez, the sporting director of Barcelona, is keen to bring in the Argentine, who has also been linked with Inter Milan and Juventus.
Fernandez feels Lavezzi will be a perfect fit for Barcelona as the 30-year-old can play on both wings, in addition to having a decent goalscoring record.
Lavezzi’s good relationship with his compatriots Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano could also play a vital role in him moving to Barcelona in January.
It is believed that the Spanish champions will have to fork out €5m for the services of Lavezzi, whose contract with PSG is set to expire next summer.
