Ross Turnbull is making progress from his injury, but Leeds United head coach Steve Evans is not concerned about how quickly the goalkeeper returns given Marco Silvestri's form between the sticks.
Evans had been eyeing in bringing another goalkeeper following Turnbull's injury, but has been won over by Silvestri's recent performances.
The Scot now feels the Italian is a fixture between the sticks and joked that Turnbull can spend all the time he likes with the physios due to Silvestri's heroics.
Asked on LUTV for an update on Turnbull, Evans replied: "He's making good progress, but his [injury] is about time. When you suffer the damage that that kid did with the break, we'll be into the new year before we see that kid, probably February.
"It's a blow to him because they tell me from a distance he was just starting to shine", Evans continued.

"But listen, if Marco Silvestri keeps playing the way he's playing, Ross can sit with the physios all he likes can't he? We only need one goalkeeper on a Saturday, as a rule."
Evans will be hoping Silvestri can be in top notch form on Saturday when Leeds play host to struggling Rotherham United in a Championship fixture.
The Scot was in charge at Rotherham until September this year, but now finds himself in the dugout at Elland Road.
Rotherham meanwhile are bossed by former Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn.
