Jurgen Klopp admits he has been left delighted after his Liverpool side thrashed Manchester City 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool started brightly, with pinpoint passing and deadly counter-attacks, which resulted in them going ahead in the seventh minute when Eliaquim Mangala turned the ball into the back of his own net.

"What can I say after 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium?" he told Sky Sports.

"This one goal [from Aguero] can change a game and Manchester City changed two players at half time, and it's difficult to stay in the game, but we did it well.

"We didn't defend perfectly, but we had big passion.
