Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been told to stop being emotional about his side's situation and concentrate on rebuilding the team.

The Blues ended a run of three successive Premier League defeats by edging out Norwich City 1-0 at Stamford Bridge today, leading Mourinho and his players to react with relief and delight.

However, former Tottenham Hotspur forward Garth Crooks thinks Mourinho must banish his emotional ways and concentrate on rebuilding Chelsea, which he believes is a big job for the Portuguese.

"I still think there is a big rebuilding project for Jose Mourinho at Chelsea over the next seven or eight months", he said on the BBC's Final Score programme.

"That is not going to be pretty", the 57-year-old continued.

"If he doesn't stop being emotional, in my opinion, about Chelsea, emotional about John Terry, emotional about [Branislav] Ivanovic, emotional about one or two others…he's got to start rebuilding, if he's serious about regaining the title at some stage."

Chelsea can now look ahead to trying to build winning momentum in the Premier League next weekend when they take on Crooks' former club Tottenham.

However, before their game against Spurs, the Blues travel to Israel for a match against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League. The Blues sit second in their Champions League group with seven points from their opening four games.
