Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger fears that Francis Coquelin has picked up a serious knee ligament injury, it has been claimed, with the French midfielder certain to miss the Gunners' midweek match in the Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb.
Coquelin lasted just 14 minutes in Arsenal's 2-1 weekend defeat at West Brom, having to be replaced by Mikel Arteta, while the Spaniard himself also came off injured later in the game.
After the match Wenger conceded that the injury to Coquelin appeared "severe" and according to French sports daily L'Equipe, the Arsenal manager is now worried that the midfielder has a serious ligament injury.
Arteta will also miss the game against Dinamo Zagreb as injury issues continue to pile up for Wenger.
All eyes will now be on Mathieu Flamini to fill the gap, with the former AC Milan star needing to step up to answer the call.
