Swansea striker Alberto Paloschi credits current manager Francesco Guidolin for having played an important role in his growth as a professional footballer.
The Italian striker moved to the Liberty Stadium from Serie A club Chievo in January this year, just days after Guidolin took charge of the Swans from interim manager Alan Curtis.
The 26-year-old player had previously worked under the Italian manager during their days at Parma, and Paloschi insists he played an integral part in moulding him from a young 20-year-old boy into the player that he is today.
“Alongside Carlo Ancelotti he has been the most important coach I have worked with in my career. Under him I grew up a lot, both as a player and as a person”, Paloschi told Inside Futbol.
“He trusted me and that was very important for a 20-year-old striker who is playing his first season as a regular in professional football. My first season at Parma was great. I scored eleven goals, we finished second in Serie B and we were promoted”, he further added.

Paloschi made a total of 51 appearances under Guidolini for Parma across all tournaments, scoring on 15 occasions and assisting on six others, before he moved to Chievo, where he had 40 goals to his name in 139 outings.
Now reunited in the Premier League, and having lost their last fixture 1-0 against Southampton on Saturday, the duo will now be looking forward to a positive result when they travel to White Hart Lane to take on second-placed Tottenham Hotspur later this month.
