Celtic starlet Saidy Janko is of the opinion that his side are currently under a lot of pressure to win this season’s Scottish Premiership title.

The 20-year-old, whose side are currently three points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand, has been sidelined since picking up a knee injury in October.

With the season entering it business end, Janko is now desperate to return to action and he is aware that he needs to slowly get back into his groove.

And the youngster, who insisted that Celtic are under tremendous pressure due to the expectations on the club, explained that he is raring to help his side win their fifth consecutive league title.

“I just want to join back in with training but the fitness coaches need to hold me back and tell me to be patient and relax”, Janko was quoted as saying by the club’s official site.

“I’d play on Saturday if it was my choice but it takes some time to get back fit.

“Now, Aberdeen are right with us and it’s tight at the top. It’s not easy at the moment for us and we have a lot of pressure on us.

“Everyone expects us to win the league but there are good sides in this league, so it’s a good period for me to come back. If I’m fully fit I’ll just do my best and try to help us win the title.”

Janko, who joined Celtic from Manchester United on a four-year deal in the summer, has thus far made nine appearances in all competitions for the Hoops.

He has also represented Switzerland at Under-21 level.
