Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes his side have an advantage in that the second leg of their Europa League Round of 32 tie against Fiorentina will be played at home.

Spurs take on the Florence outfit at the Stadio Artemio Franchi tonight in the first leg of their Europa League knockout stage clash.




The White Hart Lane outfit progressed to the knockouts as the leaders of Group J ahead of second placed Anderlecht.

Pochettino’s side have also been on an impressive run in the Premier League this season and are currently in second place in the league table, two points behind leaders Leicester City.
 


The former Argentine international believes that it is always important to play the second leg at home in front of supporters as their energy helps push the team.

Speaking in an interview with Spurs TV, Pochettino said: “I think it always is important to have the second leg at home in front of our supporters and the energy will be fantastic.

“I think that it is important.”

The Lilywhites have won all of their last seven fixtures in all competitions and will be hoping to make it eight when they come up against La Viola tonight.
