Leeds United boss Steve Evans will not keep players at Elland Road in the summer simply because they are still under contract at the club.
Leeds have little to play for during the remainder of the season, following their FA Cup exit at Vicarage Road to Watford on Saturday. But Evans is determined to use the time between now and the end of the season to fully assess his squad.
And the former Rotherham United boss will take no account of whether players are under contract or not when it comes to deciding who he wants and who he wants to shift out.
The Scot said on BBC Radio Leeds following his side's loss to the Hornets: "Between now and then we have to make sure that we fully and completely assess everyone.
"I don't respect whether they've got a contract beyond the summer or not. If they are not part of the plan, they are not part of the plan", Evans explained.
