Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino was disappointed with his side's defeat to Crystal Palace, but the Argentine insisted that his men are looking ahead to their upcoming Europa League fixture instead of fixating on the loss.

Despite coming close to scoring on a number of occasions, Spurs saw themselves going down against Crystal Palace, courtesy of Martin Kelly's first half injury time strike in the fifth round of the FA Cup encounter at White Hart Lane.

The north London club, who are currently second in the Premier League table, just two points behind leaders Leicester City, were fighting for a treble this season.

But with Alan Pardew’s team knocking them out of the cup, and any hopes of a treble going down with it, Pochettino insisted that his side are now focused on having a successful stint in the Europa League when they face Fiorentina in the return leg of their Round of 32 tie on Thursaday, with the first leg ending 1-1 in Florence last week.

“Now we have another final on Thursday in the Europa League, a different competition and a very tough game again”, Pochettino was quoted as saying by the Lilywhites’ official website.

“We are in a period now where it’s impossible to rest so we need to be focused every day and ready to compete on Thursday”, the 43-year-old added.

Tottenham last won the Europa League in 1984 and the Premier League in 1961, and Pochettino would go down in Spurs history if he was able to guide the club to either trophy.
