Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton is of the opinion that Toumani Diagouraga and Liam Bridcutt have managed to make Leeds United a better team, ahead of the Whites’ visit to the American Express Community Stadium for a Championship game on Monday.

Bridcutt, a former Brighton player, initially joined Leeds on a short term deal from Sunderland in November before deciding to extend his loan stay at Elland Road until the end of the season the following month.

On the other hand, the Yorkshire giants snapped up Diagouraga on a two-and-half-year deal from Brentford during the winter transfer window.

And Hughton feels the duo have managed to make Leeds stronger, with the 57-year-old taking special note of their performance in the goalless draw with promotion chasing Middlesbrough earlier in the month.

“Diagouraga and Bridcutt have come in and are two more experienced options in midfield, so they’ve added something to what they already had”, he told the Brighton’s official site.

“A lot of people would’ve seen their last performance on Sky Sports against Middlesbrough where they showed what a good side they are."

Leeds, who have managed to win just one of their last 10 Championship outings, drawing six of those, are currently 17th in the standings with 38 points from 32 games.
