Scott Allan says that he wants to show the Celtic fans that he has more in his locker after the midfielder made his first league start for the club in the 1-1 draw with Hamilton Academical on Friday.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Hoops from Hibernian in the summer, started on the left at New Douglas Park before he was deployed more centrally by Ronny Deila, following Dedryck Boyata’s sending off.
Allan’s performance improved after he played in a more central role, a position he is more used to operating in; he was however sacrificed for striker Colin Kazim-Richards late on as Celtic desperately searched for a winner.
And the former Scotland Under-21 international, who insisted that he wants to build on his first league start, explained that the Celtic faithful are yet to see the best of him.
“It's my first league start and obviously I just want to build on that”, he told Celtic TV.

“I've got a lot more to come.
“I want to get as many starts as possible and show the fans that I've got a lot more in my locker than I showed [against Hamilton].
“But it's just about getting a run of games.”
Allan, who is yet to score a goal for Celtic, has thus far made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish giants, providing five assists.
