Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is looking forward to the two London derbies this week that could define his side’s season.
Spurs are currently on a six-game winning run in the league, and another victory tonight at West Ham will carry them to the top of the Premier League table via superior goal difference compared to current leaders Leicester City.
While the London derby at Upton Park is a big occasion for both clubs, Tottenham are also looking forward to Arsenal’s visit to White Hart Lane on Saturday, as they could have the opportunity to deliver a decisive blow to their hated rivals’ title challenge.
Alderweireld is excited to take part in the pair of London derbies and admits these are the kind of pressure games he always wanted to play in when he was coming through the ranks as a young footballer.
He indicated that that the next few days could end up defining the White Hart Lane outfit’s season.
