Chelsea Under-21 boss Adrian Viveash was pleased after his side extended their undefeated streak to five games in all competitions, following their goalless draw at Southampton in an Under-21 Premier League Division 1 match on Monday.
The Blues, who have not tasted defeat since they went down 1-0 to Southampton in the Under-21 Premier League Cup in January, have managed to win three games and draw twice in that period.
The draw meant that Chelsea moved up to seventh place in the league standings with 18 points from 12 games, 17 adrift of leaders Sunderland, who have played four games more.
And Viveash, whose side will next face PSV Eindhoven in the Premier League International Cup semi-final on Thursday, lauded Chelsea for keeping their unbeaten run away from home in the league intact this season.
“It’s another point, we’re five unbeaten”, he told Chelsea TV.

“Slowly but surely they’re understanding the levels required, every game.
“And it keeps the run going, away from home we’re still unbeaten, it’s a fantastic achievement and we move on, there’s no time to rest.”
After Thursday’s encounter with PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea will take on Reading in the league four days later.
