Lewis Cook’s agent has denied being in talks with Leeds United over a new deal for his client.

The 19-year-old, who has heavily featured for Leeds in the current campaign, is considered one of the more talented young players to come out of the Whites’ academy in recent years.

Cook has thus far made 34 appearances in all competitions for the Yorkshire giants this season, scoring twice and providing as many assists.

The midfielder’s present contract with Leeds runs until 2017, and it had been claimed that the club are in talks with Cook, along with fellow starlets Charlie Taylor and Alex Mowatt, to extend their contracts.

But Cook’s agent has quashed those reports, according to BBC Radio Leeds; the player was linked with a move away from Elland Road during the winter transfer window, with Premier League new boys Bournemouth interested in snapping him up.
