Rangers midfielder Nicky Law has insisted that he is eager to extend his stay at the club beyond this season.

The 27-year-old, whose present contract with the Gers is set to expire in the summer, joined the club from Motherwell in 2013.

Law has made 22 appearances in all competitions in the present campaign, scoring once and providing two assists, while in total he has turned out 118 times for the Scottish giants, netting 26 times and setting up 25 goals.

And the Englishman, who wants Rangers to sort out his contract situation, however admitted that the ultimate decision lies with manager Mark Warburton.

Law went on to add that apart from him, five or six of his Rangers team-mates are also worried about the contract impasse.

“We obviously want our futures sorted as soon as possible as we have families to look after, but it is the manager’s decision”, he was quoted as saying by Herald Scotland.

“It is a difficult time not just for myself, but for five or six of us at the moment.

“I would love to stay.”

Law, who started his playing career at Sheffield United, also counts Bradford City and Rotherham United amongst his former employers.

His last appearance for Rangers came in the 1-0 win over St Mirren in the league last week.
