West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has insisted that nothing beats winning against Tottenham Hotspur after his side edged out Spurs 1-0 in a Premier League game on Wednesday night.

The Hammers, who were thrashed 4-1 by Mauricio Pochettino’s team in the corresponding fixture at White Hart Lane in November, had the last laugh at Upton Park, following Michail Antonio’s seventh minute winner.

Apart from moving closer to the top four, the win also enabled West Ham to put a bump in the road for Tottenham’s title charge.

And Gold revealed that for West Ham, nothing beats putting Tottenham to the sword.

“It's nice to win but nothing beats winning against Tottenham our arch rivals”, he said via Twitter.
