Rangers youngster Liam Burt has confirmed that he will sign a contract with the club soon, as he has no interest in moving anywhere else.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has broken into the first team squad this season after impressing at academy level, and even made his senior debut for Rangers in their 2-0 win over Raith Rovers on Tuesday night.




Already a Scotland Under-19 international, Burt is considered one of the brighter young talents to come out of the Rangers academy in recent years, and the club believe he could have a long term future at Ibrox.

The youngster also feels that Rangers are the best club for his development and confirmed that he will soon sign a contract. Burt added that he has no plans to join any other team for the moment.
 


When asked by a fan whether he will sign a contract with Rangers, the youngster said via his club's site: “Yes – I have no interest in going anywhere else.

Burt is hoping to get more minutes under his belt from now until the end of the season as Rangers are sitting comfortably at the top of the Scottish Championship table, with a 14-point gap over second placed Hibernian.
