Rangers manager Mark Warburton has hailed Saturday’s opponents Dundee as a very good team and expects the Dark Blues to attack his side in the Scottish Cup quarter-final at Ibrox.

The Gers progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition after registering a 2-1 win over Premiership outfit Kilmarnock in the replay of their fifth round clash at Rugby Park.




Warburton’s side managed a 0-0 draw against the Killies in the first match at Ibrox.

Dundee on the other hand ensured their passage to the quarter-finals with a 5-0 demolition of Dumbarton in the replay of their clash at Dens Park.
 


The first match between Dumbarton and Dundee also resulted in a 0-0 draw at Dumbarton Football Stadium.

Warburton’s side are unbeaten in their last 13 games in all competitions and will be looking to continue their unbeaten run, and the 53-year-old is looking forward to the game and expects a good encounter.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Warburton said: “Dundee are a very good team and I expect them to come and have a go.

"We are in good shape though and look forward to it.”

Paul Hartley’s side currently find themselves in fifth position in the Scottish Premiership, while the Gers comfortably sit at the top of the Championship.

When quizzed about the favourites for Saturday’s clash, Warburton highlighted although Dundee are a Premiership outfit, his side are playing in front of their own fans at Ibrox.

"Dundee are a Premiership team and we are playing at Ibrox. You decide that one."
