Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has indicated that Roman Abramovich has said nothing to the squad about Antonio Conte taking over the reins of the club in the summer.
The Dutchman was appointed as the club’s interim manager following Jose Mourinho’s sacking in December, and he has managed to steer Chelsea into the top ten, after a disastrous start to the season.
While Chelsea’s form has improved under Hiddink, he has made it clear that he will leave once the season is over, and current Italy boss Conte has been widely linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
There have been suggestions that the club have held talks with the former Juventus boss, and there were reports in Italy earlier this week that the Chelsea squad have been informed by Abramovich about Conte’s impending appointment.
However, Hiddink insisted that he is not aware of the Chelsea owner saying such a thing to the players.

When asked about the Abramovich and Conte reports, the Chelsea boss said in a press conference: “To my knowledge, I don’t know, but I don’t think so.”
There have been suggestions that Conte has already agreed terms with Chelsea, and is expected to become their new manager in the summer.
