Rangers right-back James Tavernier feels that the club's fans created an amazing atmosphere at Ibrox today for the Gers' comprehensive Scottish Cup victory over Dundee.

The Premiership outfit, who recently held Celtic to a 0-0 draw at Parkhead, were expected to present Rangers with a stiff test.




But the Dees were blown away by goals from Harry Forrester, Jason Holt, Andy Halliday and Lee Wallace as Rangers romped to a 4-0 victory and booked a semi-final spot.

Over 30,000 were packed into Ibrox and Tavernier was blown away by the atmosphere they produced.
 


He took to Twitter to write: "The atmosphere was incredible today, fans were amazing."

And the right-back felt his side deserved to beat Dundee so easily having put in good performances across the pitch.

He said: "Great performance from all the boys today! Thoroughly deserved the win!"

Rangers are now eyeing further progress in the Scottish Cup, with a potential meeting with fierce rivals Celtic still a possibility.

Ronny Deila's Bhoys are in cup action tomorrow when they take on Championship side Morton at Parkhead.
