Manchester United star Juan Mata has insisted that he will move on from the disappointment of his sending off during the Red Devils’ 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Spaniard, whose goal helped Manchester United to secure a 1-0 win over Watford last week, was given his marching orders by the referee for two bookable offences between the 23rd and 26th minutes at the Hawthorns; it was Mata’s first sending off in his career.
With a man down, Louis van Gaal’s team struggled against the Baggies as the home team went on to bag the full three points, courtesy of Salomon Rondon’s 66th minute winner.
And Mata, who explained that he will learn from the mistake, stated that he will plough through the bitter experience of being sent off for the first time.
“In this sport there’s no time for celebrations or moaning, and after last Wednesday’s joy for the win and the goal against Watford, now I have to go through a more bitter experience”, he wrote in his personal blog.

“That’s the way it is.
"What matters is to move forward and to always learn from each situation.
"And so I will.”
Mata has thus far made 42 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United this season, scoring eight times and providing as many assists.
