Ex-Celtic man Chris Sutton has conceded that he has been bemused by some of his former club’s decisions in the present campaign.
The Scottish champions, who have experienced an inconsistent 2015/16 season, are still in the running for a domestic double.
Winning the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup may cement Ronny Deila’s position at the club for next season, with the Norwegian coming under heavy scrutiny from some corners due to Celtic’s indifferent performances in recent months.
And Sutton, who is puzzled to see Celtic having a large number of attacking midfielders in their ranks, while there is lack of personnel in other areas, thinks the Hoops may struggle next season if they decide to replace Deila in the summer as the new manager will have very little time to adjust.
The former striker went on to add that the fans can also sense that everything is not right at the club and hence the attendances have reduced at Celtic Park in recent games.

“A win [over Rangers in the Scottish Cup] would give Deila the chance of a double”, Sutton was quoted as saying by the Scotland Herald.
“But I don’t know whether it’s gone so far for him, I don’t know what the board are thinking with respect to next season and whether Ronny is going to be there or not.
“A win would be big but we could speculate as much as we like for these next five weeks. I would probably be easier to judge afterwards. I’m not on the Celtic board, that’s not my decision.
“But having said that the decision-making has surprised me as its maybe surprised a lot of people. If you’re asking me if a win would help him then possibly it would. But there have been a lot of things I haven’t found logical or been able to understand this season.
“By that I mean team selection and also the decision-making in terms of if Celtic were going to change manager then why not give him a transfer window to shop in?
"If they are going to change manager that would have allowed him to prepare for the magnitude of next season. If they change in the summer that won’t give the new manager a lot of time.
“There are a lot of things I don’t understand, like why they have eight No10s and are short in other areas. That doesn’t make any sense to me.
“Do I think the board have questions to answer as much as Ronny Deila? I’d say that was pretty logical.
“Should Peter Lawwell be under pressure? He’s the decision-maker so that goes without saying. The fact that nobody is turning up to games – or very few fans are turning up to games – tells its own story.”
