Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has stated that it was “amazing” to see so many Spurs supporters in one place during the club’s 2-1 loss to Monaco at Wembley on Wednesday night.

The north London outfit, who qualified for the Champions League after finishing third in the Premier League last season, have agreed a deal with Wembley Stadium to play their European home fixtures at the ground this season.

Spurs are building a new stadium adjacent to their present home ground White Hart Lane, which will fail to meet UEFA’s requirements on stadium access, capacity and rights delivery as a result.

Tottenham made full use of the huge Wembley stadium as 85,000 fans were present to witness their side in action against Monaco.

And although the match ended in disappointment for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, Roberts found the home support incredible.
