Leeds United new boy Ezgjan Alioski has been awarded the EFL’s Goal of the Month award for August for his strike against Nottingham Forest.

The Macedonian midfielder has caught the eye with his performances since joining Leeds in the summer and has quickly become a key player in Thomas Christiansen’s squad.

The 25-year-old has already assisted two goals in the Championship and scored his first for Leeds when he drove a fine left footed shot into Nottingham Forest’s net at the City ground last month.

And that goal has earned Alioski the EFL’s Goal of the Month award and he received the accolade ahead of training with Leeds earlier this morning.

Leeds will be looking forward to more such goals and performances from their new signing as they look to consolidate their position at the top of the Championship table this season.

Alioski, along with the other new summer signings, have played a major role in Leeds starting the season on a positive note after finishing just outside the top six last time around.

Unbeaten in the league still, Leeds will be looking to keep their run going when they face Millwall at the Den on Saturday afternoon.
