David Prutton has backed Leeds United to edge out Nottingham Forest at Elland Road on Saturday, as two of his former clubs do battle in a Championship encounter.
The Whites climbed to the summit of the league table courtesy of a comfortable 2-0 win over Ipswich Town on Wednesday night and with a little help from other results that went in their favour.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men had endured a dip in their form in recent weeks and the win over a struggling Ipswich side was only their second during their last six league outings.
However, they are now scheduled to go up against a rejuvenated Nottingham Forest side, who got back to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers in their last game.

Prutton, who turned out for both Nottingham Forest and Leeds during his playing career, claimed that it will be a close game with goals definitely in it and predicted that the Whites might have enough in them to nick it in their favour.
“Leeds got back to winning ways and back to the top of the table after cruising past Ipswich in midweek, and now have Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez back in full swing, which is huge for them”, Prutton wrote in his EFL Predictions column on Sky Sports.
“Nottingham Forest have started turning a few draws into wins and Lewis Grabban has found his goalscoring form as well.
“There should be a few goals at Elland Road but I think Leeds will just about have enough.”
Prutton has predicted a 3-2 score-line in favour of the Whites and backed them to snatch all three points.
