Derek Ferguson thinks the impact of the huge support Rangers will enjoy in their Scottish League Cup semi-final tie against Aberdeen on Sunday is being overlooked.
Rangers have made progress under Steven Gerrard this season and are flying high in the Europa League, being on course to reach the last 32 of the competition.
They have though struggled on the road and only recorded their first away win in the Scottish Premiership this season last weekend at Hamilton.
Rangers will be playing away from Ibrox on Sunday, when they head to Hampden to lock horns with Aberdeen.

But former Rangers star Ferguson is not concerned and thinks that the huge support the Gers have is often overlooked.
And he is confident it can have an impact on the game.
“What they will have at Hampden is that huge support", Ferguson said on Open Goal.
“People forget about that, people make light of that.
“I don't.
“That can be the extra man for you. It can give you that extra five, ten per cent.
"So the fans will have their part to play."
Rangers played out a 0-0 draw at home against Spartak Moscow on Thursday night and will be looking to book what would be a morale-boosting spot in the final of the Scottish League Cup by seeing off Aberdeen.
