Galatasaray are close to signing West Ham striker Andy Carroll, it has been claimed in Turkey.

The 29-year-old striker recently returned to action following recovering from an ankle injury, but has struggled to find a place in Manuel Pellegrini’s starting eleven.

With his contract expiring in the summer, West Ham may be prepared to let him go in January and it seems an agreement could be on the cards.

According to Turkish daily Fanatik, Galatasaray are in negotiations with West Ham and the striker’s representatives over taking Carroll to Turkey during the January transfer window.

And it has been claimed that a broad agreement is in place between the two clubs for Carroll’s move, with the striker potentially being set to play his football in Turkey in the new year.

It is reported that negotiations between the two clubs have now moved on to finalising small details.

It remains to be seen if Galatasaray could pull off what would be a headline grabbing move.

But West Ham boss Pellegrini could push to bring in one more striker if Carroll ultimately leaves in January.
