Former Scotland star Alan Rough has insisted that Rangers will not have it easy against Hibernian tonight, as he feels Neil Lennon's men have quality players who can hurt the Gers.

Steven Gerrard’s men will be aiming to extend their stay at the summit of the Scottish Premiership table, but will have to tackle tricky opposition in the form of Hibs at Easter Road.

Lennon’s side are buoyant after their impressive 2-0 win over Celtic at home on Sunday and will be aiming to cause yet another upset against Rangers.

Despite running out comfortable winners against Hamilton on Sunday, Rough insisted that Rangers will have to endure a stern challenge from Hibs.

The former shot-stopper also added that Hibs caused a major upset against Celtic and insisted they have good players, particularly in midfield, to hurt other teams.

“I don’t think anybody expected that result against Celtic, Hibs have been in and out this year, but the performance was there for everybody to see”, Rough said on PLZ Soccer.

“I think it will be similar, I think they want to play a lot of good football, they want to move the ball about, they have got a lot of pace in that team.

“I know that Rangers beat Hamilton at the weekend, that was one-way traffic.

“I don’t think it will be that tomorrow night because I think, Hibs have got players in that side that can hurt them, particularly in midfield.”

Rangers will be aiming to secure maximum points against Hibs as they aim to enter the Old Firm clash before the winter break on the back of a good run of form.
